Mystery of Smiling Beauty Finally Revealed! May 14, 2010
At a tumultuous joint press conference held early this morning, the management of Xulon Press, scientists at the Max Planck Institute for Evolutionary Anthropology, and the author known as lll, Walter A. Newport finally publically revealed the true identity of the young model who posed for the photo on the cover of the much loved blockbuster classic, "Smile Lines".
Amid the chaotic hubbub of screaming male fans, camera flashes and reporters holding microphones, lll, Walter A. Newport sat quietly in his seat, a bemused smile, neither lewd nor demeaning, across his face. To many who were present at the event, it was difficult to imagine only two years had elapsed since this retired professor of language and culture, a founding member of an international center, a practicing Christian in parts of the world in which Christians are a minority, and a member of the International Society of Poets had published "Smile Lines" the companion book to the enlightening and inspirational classic best seller "Life Lines". Together, both books are a result of a lifetime of collecting words worth keeping by many, many people.
As the popularity of "Smile Lines" exploded throughout the world, the identity of the smiling, bespectacled, blonde who graced the book's cover became the overwhelming question consuming the media. Who was she?
At first, Ashley Banfield, Tina Fey and Elton John were suggested and then rejected as possible candidates.
However, Geraldo Rivera devoted an entire episode of Geraldo at Large on FOXNews to the subject, claiming that the true identity of the model was Snooki Delgiocondo of Deal, New Jersey. Ms. Delgiocondo is reported to be the great-great-great-great-great granddaughter of Lisa del Giocondo, a member of the Ghjeradini family of Florence and Tuscany, and the wife of a wealthy, 16th century Florentine silk merchant and whose portrait, known as "The Mona Lisa", was painted by the Renaissance artist Leonardo da Vinci.
Most people accepted this attribution to be correct despite the concern that Ms. Delgiocondo bore no resemblance to the model in the photograph.
At the press conference, the senior research scientist at the Max Planck Institute of Evolutionary Anthropology in Leipzig Germany, Dr. Heinrich S.S. von Schtormtrooper, was questioned why so much time and effort was dedicated to solving this mystery. "This is not an Italian face! It is preposterous to think this. This is an Aryan, er, I mean Northern, maybe English, or German face! Look at the bone structure and the fine set of teeth! The blonde hair! To prove our hypothesis we used a combination of the most modern face recognition software that combines "Where's Waldo" and GPS technology, and advanced DNA analysis taken from traces on a women's suit jacket found among a pile of clothing returned to Neiman Marcus by the Republican National Committee".
To the stunned and suddenly quiet audience the identity of the smiling women was definitively proven to be a young Sarah Heath who, the morning after a Clairol Blondes Have More Fun pajama party while she was an undergraduate at Matanuska - Susitna College in 1985, posed for an ad by a local orthodontist.
Reading from a prepared statement, Ms. Sarah Heath Palin, the American politician, author, speaker and political news commentator who served as the Governor of Alaska said: "It's true. I was doing some part time modeling. I was just trying to make some money to help Todd buy a fishing boat and I never realized that the photo would end up on the cover of a book, no less such a wonderful and popular Christian book that deals with mirth that can be enjoyed without leaving an aftertaste of godlessness! Not that I read many books but I would have read this one, or one similar, had I had the opportunity to do so."
When a reporter asked Ms. Palin why she allowed the hoax about Ms. Delgiocondo to be perpetuated by Geraldo Rivera on FOXNews, her current employer, Ms. Palin angrily stated that she was against "socialism taking over our God-given country" and left the room while pushing her son Trig in a stroller.
The final statement at the conference was given jointly by an editor of Xulon Press and lll, Walter A. Newport, who announced the publication of a new book this fall. Called "Grin Lines" the cover will feature a photo of a young Anita Bryant.
As of today, "Smile Lines" is available only in paperback (both new and used) and is eligible for free shipping with this site Prime and Express Checkout with a Pay Phrase that you select. It is not yet available in Kindle format.
beauty at its best May 5, 2010
This book will ruin everything beautiful. Every time I stop to admire beauty, I just keep picturing the front cover girl of this book. When I look at rainbows in sky after a moment of shower, I think smiles girl is better in comparison. When I look at unicorns flying gracefully in the air, smiles girl is there. When I watch a video of my ex-girlfriend clipping her toenails in slow motion as it hits the kitchen floor, i think to myself...smiles girl would do a better job. So now I can't stop thinking about smiles girl.
So yes, i recommend you buy it.
Makes great wallpaper! May 5, 2010
I am a person that spends the majority of my day browsing the interwebs looking for new interior decorating ideas for my home. When I came across this book cover I got so excited, I burst out of my chair, exclaiming "EUREKA" (with my index finger protruding upwards), and unfortunately flung my macbook across the living room where it smashed into dozens of pieces. Not to worry though, after purchasing a new macbook, I surfed back to this site to be reunited with this book and its beautiful smile once again. I immediately ordered 10,000 copies, ripped out all the pages and used the cover to create a wallpaper pattern that now decorates the walls of both of my bathrooms and the toolshed out back. Highly recomended for any others who need interior decorating ideas.
I am astounded!!! May 5, 2010
Few pieces of literature are able to make a person stop reading and say "wow." This certainly is not one of those pieces of literature. I bought it because of the bespectacled beauty that leaves me breathless. I use crest whitestrips too........I use them too......my sweet
