Reviews - What do customers think about Interlinear Greek-English New Testament (v. 4)?
Great stuff, original textus receptus, KJV, literal and greek word for word May 29, 2008
Perfect combination. Original Greek Textus Receptus word for word with a great eay to read font. English translations word for word underneath. Strong's numbers word for word. King James KJV authorised version. Literal translation.
KJV and Textus Receptus I truly beleive to be the God authorised and of all the others the most accurate.
An Important Note For The Hardcover Version!!! Dec 11, 2007
I have just received the book this morning and have taken a good 2 hour scan through it and am quite pleased. I decided to look at more reveiws about the book and see how other people felt about it. I stumbled across a review that said they like the fact that the KJV was the the right of the page. Being that I read the KJV as my primary english text i was suprised to learn that it was not in my book..Why you ask? The hard cover version of this interlinear bible does not have the KJV translation, it seems as only the lether bound one does. So be aware when considering your purchase. I either missed it or i should have taken my own advice and read all the reviews :) It's Ok though I always carry my Bible with me always... Hope this helps someone.
Very Poor Print Readability Mar 9, 2007
I own this book as well as the complete Bible version. I was taking Biblical greek at the time of my purchase and ran into numerous problems. All the problems I had were due to the terrible print quality. Let me be clear what I mean. It was like reading a page off a cheap fax machine. The punctuation was quite unledgible in numerous instances. Please don't fall into this trap. If you cannot read the text correctly with it's punctuation, then you can easily translate incorrectly. I felt the need to bring this to peoples attention.
prospective buyers be aware Jan 20, 2006
1 The " leather" cover is bonded leather. 2 The binding is not sewn 3 The cover on mine was detached front and rear on arrival 4 The paper used is not the quality one would expect at the price ( rather a high quality paper back).
Given the preface(s) indicating the obvious concern Mr Green has for the New Testament scriptures the above are particularly disappointing given that a very few extra dollars expended by the publishers during production could easily have remedied these matters
Thank you this site for your helpful remedy.
Green's Interlinear by Hendrickson Jan 11, 2006
I have been a CBD customer for over 25 years, I like much of their offerings. Their publishing firm is Hendrickson's, which outfit produces this volume. It is volume 4 of a 4 volume set of the entire Bible in an interliner format. The Hebrew font in the first 3 volumes is a disaster!
The paper is a bright white, non-acid free. It hurts the eyes. The print quality is poor, some pages very dark, some light. The text is much too crowded. Many of the added "strong's" numbers block or cover the Greek accents. The bottom margins of the pages are too small, as are the outside margins. Very poor design/layout features.
The binding is a very bad glue-injection, this book will begin falling apart very quickly. I can find no good reason why Hendrickson's published this work! It is very poor quality, and is inferior to all other interlinears. Save your money and buy a useful interlinear, one which shows respect for the needs of human readers, respect for the text of God's Word, and one which will last for a few years. Courtesy of: Gary S.
