Reviews - What do customers think about Danger In The Shadows (O'Malley Series)?
Love Dee Hendersen but was a little disappointed Mar 14, 2007
The story is a good one. You will be captivated in the beginning of the book but after awhile it d r a g s o u t about Sara and her pain. I think explaining her pain and what she has to live out is important but I think it seemed to just fill in pages to make the story longer. Maybe it there were more flashbacks to things that happened as she grew up and how it affected her would have been more intriguing.
I read all the O'Malley books and True Honor, True Courage and love them all.
Book Review Mar 10, 2007
I was very pleased with my order. The book was in excellent condition and I received the book in a timely manner. I would definately buy from this seller again.
Excellent Prequel to the O'Malley Series Mar 7, 2007
Adam is a retired professional football player used to being pursued - especially by women. When he meets Sara in an elevator of the building where they both have office space, he finds that he is the one doing the pursuing. Sara isn't interested, and still has a few issues from her past that need to be dealt with. Sara's brother, Dave, is in charge of her security detail and later appears in "The Negotiator" as Kate O'Malley's love interest. This is an exciting suspenseful romance from beginning to end. Dee Henderson certainly knows how to write a page-turning adventure! And when you reach the end of her books, you don't feel like she blindsided you with the whodunit.
Not Dee's Best but a Worthwhile read Feb 21, 2007
Honestly, Dee Henderson's other books are worlds better, but this one won't insult your intelligence with bad writing or nothin'... Her style's still nice, the plot's decent, it just doesn't compare to the actual O'Malley Series or even Uncommon Heroes for that matter.
Um... it got kind of redundant and slow Jan 11, 2007
It was really good at first and I was enjoying it at first. Dee Henderson didn't waist any time in getting the story going but there is just so much in between when the story starts and when the climax starts. I wasn't able to finish the book because I got kind of sick of it. After a while, it's just like, alright, we get. She's falling in love with Adam and he's falling in love with her and praying for her. Thats basically all that happens for the majority of the book. There are so many pointless things going on before even ONE suspence stuff starts. There is a little bit of suspence in it, but you really have to read to get there. I think I might just skip to the end of the book to find out what happens.
So if your looking for a good love story, then this is what you should read, but not if your looking for a thriller that hooks you and makes you want to sleep with the light on.
