Reviews - What do customers think about A Little Exercise for Young Theologians?

A Gem  Jan 22, 2008
This should be one of the first books anyone studying theology or going into ministry should read. It was a requirement which our prof. wisely included in our reading list (I first read this book in 1996)and has only grown in importance for me as time goes on.

Timeless  Nov 3, 2006
I came across this delightful little book the year before I began my seminary studies. Though it had been published many years prior, I found his wisdom to be timeless. Now, after 14 years in ordained ministry, I still refer to it from time to time, just to keep perspective. I heartily recommend this to anyone contemplating, in the midst of, or long since finished with formal theological education.

A Needed Warning For All Students of Scripture...  Jan 1, 2004
Don't let its small size fool you... This little book will open your eyes to the dangers that both aspiring and seasoned theologians face in the pursuit of knowledge. I like the fact that it's small enough to be read in a very short amount of time, yet provides so many important insights and warnings that you'll want to hang onto it and read it again and again!

Excellent must have  Jul 9, 2001
I was introduced to this work by a friend who was a recent seminary graduate. I think this work should be read by everyone who has the Spiritual gift of teaching/preaching as it will be an effective help to prevent burnout, boasting, pride, and arrogance. All of those are frequent sins associated with teaching the word.

This book is excellent for the pastor, seminary student, and any other person who is equipped (or being equipped) for a teaching/pastoral based ministry.
