Reviews - What do customers think about Time Alone: The Gift of Being with Yourself (The Journeys)?
Deceptively Simple but Wise Feb 14, 2008
Of the many books on my shelf, Time Alone is one of my favorites. It is deceptively simple. Many may miss the wisdom in this little jewel. Just as Mindfulness meditation asks us to focus on the 'simple' task of breathing, Time Alone brings our awareness to the "simple' experience of being with ourselves completely. Spending quiet time alone. The results of this practice can be profound. I read Time Alone often and enjoy sharing it with loved ones.
A picture book with no content May 16, 2007
This is a book with a picture and one sentence on each 2 page spread; much like a children's book. If you are looking for a serious book on exploring/ enjoying "alone time", this is not it. If you are looking for a picture book with little, "inspirational", single-sentences, look no further!
A gem of a book on the importance of spending time alone Feb 17, 2003
This little book is my bible for the times I need a reminder to come back to myself. The illustrations and the words are perfectly paired and express what most of us avoid or neglect to do, spending time alone and taking responsibility for tending our inner garden. A wonderful gift to give to oneself and a special offering to friends. This is one of many books written and illustrated by Susan Florence that bring a message of upliftment.
