Definitely Like It! Nov 27, 2008
I ordered this bible since i enjoy writing in my bible and wanted one that allowed room for it. I have definitely enjoyed being able to write right next to verses a prayer or what a particular passage means to me as I am reading. I like the layout of the page. There is ample room on each page to write. I love that by writing in the bible it really becomes very unique to the person it belongs to. The print is a bit smaller than I had thought it would be. Also the names of the books are not at the very top of the page which makes it harder when shuffling through to find a particular book. Overall I really like it. If you do have trouble reading semi small print I would not recommend this Bible unfortunately. The one good thing I guess about the small print is that with all the extra room to write in the bible size is still very easy to handle and not overwhelming big at all. I recommend this bible. It is excellent to read, study, and be able to record your thoughts, feelings, and what you hear from God during your time studying His word.
Almost but not quite Nov 18, 2008
The type is as advertised larger than the ESV Journal Bible but other than the attractive cover, that about the only thing that sets this bible apart.
The lines are weirdly laid out. Some are acoss the top of the page full width. The rest are to the side of the text. The lines encompass the text in an upside-down 'U' which strikes me as rather strange. I imagine that a page full of writing would give a squished down appearance to the page. I say imagine because I returned mine. It wasn't nicely enough laid out to keep.
