Narrated Version - Great Resource Feb 6, 2007
This narrated Bible is a nice resource for reading and understanding the Bible. Both the chronological order, the context of associated verses, and the narration make this a nice way to read and to understand some of the themes, and events in the Bible. A great resource!
Narrated Bible Review Jan 22, 2007
I purchased one of these Bibles several years ago. Since then I have purchased 4 more for gifts, mostly to ministers. Each of them say basically the same thing "It makes the story in the Bible come alive". "It makes the Bible read like an exciting novel" , "It makes understanding the Bible much easier". They have then suggested from the pulpit that people serious about reading through the Bible use this Narrated Bible.
A Great Translation Jan 17, 2007
This Bible places scripture in chronological order - making it easier to read as a book. It is very good for overview reading and getting the whole story of God's plan.
A Bible for the Average Person, Jan 11, 2007
Time, Place, Geography, and History are all provided for the average reader. The divisions' comments will support the average reader without an expensive set of Commentaries. In the 49 years of my pastorate, this Bible became the only gift I gave for special occasions, and I have found the recipients became outstanding Bible scholars.
Great Buy Jan 9, 2007
I really like the way the book is setup, my only critiques are that it is rather large and bulky for travel, and the calendar is hidden in the back, but otherwise I really enjoy the commentary along with the Bible readings. I also like how the Bible reads across the whole page instead of two columns. I would recommend it to others.
