Item description for Serenity by Harry Lee Kraus...
Overview Pull up an Adirondack chair and enjoy the quiet pace in Serenity. It's one reason this North Carolina seaside community is such a popular spot for vacations and fresh starts. But lately it's been known for drugs and suspicious deaths. Is the town's new doctor involved in the activities? And who is he, exactly?
Nobody in Serenity, North Carolina, knows that Adam Tyson is dead. Nobody except his former physician's assistant who has assumed his identity.
Serenity was to be a fresh start and the fulfillment of a vow made years ago. Being a doctor there is supposed to be a quiet, non-descript job. But it is in this touristy, seaside town where drugs flow, insurance is defrauded and people are dying.
As the mystery around these suspicious activities and deaths unfolds, so does the new doctor's false identity. If the pretender can survive the allegations and keep the unconditional love he's discovered, he just may find the serenity he was seeking.

I have to give this review a zero since I haven't received nor heard from this seller why they haven't mailed this book to me. If there is a way of finding out why this seller hasn't sent the book I would appreciate hearing from you.
Harry does it again! Oct 13, 2008
This is a great book, but I'm rather biased because Kraus is one of my favorite authors. He does a fantastic job weaving a great story together, with lots of action, drama, and, of course, a little romance. He also does a wonderful job presenting the salvation message to his audience.
Well-written medical thriller May 18, 2005
I'm not so interested in the fact that Kraus is a surgeon as much as I am that he can write, and write about medical and hospital situations. His background obviously gives him the vocabulary and authority to write medical scenes, but his skill as a writer kept me reading. The story is interesting, if at times a bit implausible and slightly preachy, and the pace slows in spots, but still moves along.
Another great medical suspense novel from a doctor's pen! Dec 22, 2002
The first book I read by Dr. Harry Kraus was "Could I Have This Dance?". It was just outstanding, so I had high expectations for this book as well. And I was not disappointed! As a fan of Robin Cook's books from way back, I was thrilled to find this genre under the umbrella of Christian fiction.
This book is difficult to put down - the plot twists and turns and Dr. Kraus' characterization is excellent - you really feel like you know the characters. I especially liked his depiction of Travis, the son of the main female character, Beth. I felt that the book was realistic and wasn't one of these in which everything is perfectly resolved by the end of the book.
There are several of Harry Kraus' earlier books that I am looking forward to reading! If you like Harry Kraus' books, check out Hannah Alexander, a husband/wife writing team (the husband is also a doctor). Those books are wonderful as well!
