Overview SUBTITLE: Keeping The Focus On Jesus
Spiritual Warfare Sideways corrects undue emphasis on the devil and encourages believers to focus our attention on Jesus.
Publishers Description There is a tendency in modern spiritual warfare to focus primarily on Satan. But Guy Chevreau contends that spiritual warfare is actually more about worship than it is about war. Spiritual Warfare Sideways corrects the undue emphasis on the devil and encourages believers to focus our attention on Jesus. As we keep our eyes fixed on him, we will find a place of glorious freedom and confident authority. Chevreau unmasks the enemy's schemes to divert our attention from our loving and powerful Savior and explains that spiritual authority over demonic forces is proportionate to our intimacy with God. The more time we spend alone with Jesus, the more we will be equipped and empowered for battle. This unique and surprising perspective is timely for Christians at every level of life and ministry.

A Healthy Perspective on Spiritual Warfare Dec 31, 2008
I have been reading and studying about spiritual warfare for several years now. I have come across some great materials but this one is unique in its message and focus. With personal stories of deliverance through a God- centered, worship-driven approach to deliverance, it gives thought-provoking reasons why we shouldn't engage the battle as a fight. I think the best point he makes is about the strongman being bound. We go into our fight against the darkness with the victory in hand. A lot of these types of books either poo-poo really addressing spiritual warfare or give Satan too much focus in the process. This book is a must read for all striving to have a God-centered focus to deliverance ministry.
