Item description for Clinical Neurology by Graeme J. Hankey...
With over 800 illustrations, the majority in full color, Clinical Neurology reflects the major contribution of neuroradiology to medical neurology and combines the advantages of a color atlas and a textbook. Each condition is described on a page or a spread of pages, using a structured text and integrating color photographs, radiographs, and line diagrams.
The book is both comprehensive and practical, with material organized according to the presenting complaint of the patient or according to a logical pathophysiologic and anatomic classification scheme. For each disorder there is a clear definition, discussion of etiology, clinical features, and investigations. The text is concise and, where appropriate, a bulleted topic format is used, making information easy to retrieve. High-quality illustrations present anatomic drawings, radiographs, and pathologic specimens. This approach logically leads the reader through different clinical scenarios from presentation to diagnosis and treatment.
This volume is must reading for all neurologists and neuroradiologists; its clarity of presentation also makes it an ideal reference work for residents in these specialties. Program or course directors will find this text extremely useful, as it can also serve as the primary source for course work in advanced clinical neuroscience.

Become a Neurologist with ease!!! Aug 6, 2008
The authors have provided us with wonderfully illustrated and laid out text of neurology. Don't be deceived by its apparent simplicity. This is an excellent grounding text for neurology residents, which is easy to absorb, facilitates learning (in one single moderate volume) and a pleasure to handle.
Compare the clinical usefulness of this text to the heavy weights (Bradley & Daroff etc), and you will be stunned.
The book is divided up in typical manner, by disease categories and with chapters on each disease. But its usefullness is not only in providing differential diagnoses, explanations of investigations and treatment. It also provides a concise and accurate overview of treatment.
