Item description for Dead On Time by Glyn Jones...
Spine Thrilling Camp! After being made redundant from Ml5 and trying as a private eye to make ends meet, Thornton King, with the aid of Miss Holly Day and under the watchful eye of the Princess Spitskaya, enters the glamorous world of fashion as Rear Admirals, Drug Barons, Arms Dealers, Film Stars all come to a sticky end in this romp of a comedy thriller. The only link Thornton has to go on is the fact that all the men before they died were last seen in the presence of a beautiful girl, but each eyewitness testifies differently; that it was a blonde, a brunette or raven haired girl. Is it the same girl or is there more than one strikingly beautiful murderer on the loose? Murder, mystery and mayhem wrapped up in beautiful but lethal packages take you on a roller coaster ride until the final chapter when all is revealed. The perfect model for a murder!

Really Enjoyable Nov 4, 2007
What an enjoyable book to read. Mr. Jones has done it again. Mystery, camp and all the other wonderful ingredients that make a book a saver to read again and share with friends. Makes a wonderful gift!
great beach read Aug 10, 2007
Dead on Time is a great escapist entertainment, ideally suited for summer beach reading. It combines satire of the James Bond genre with the comic zest of the old Ealing comedies--a delightfully unimportant and amusing book.
A Hoot and a Half Jul 23, 2007
A book that cries out to be read out loud with friends. Too funny and way over the top.
This book is a HOOT! Jul 17, 2007
I knew of Glyn Jones from the Dr. Who series and the Double Deckers but I hadn't read any of his books in years. This new book is absolutely A HOOT! I can't remember a book I've read that was at both times enthralling and funny. I chuckled all the way through. This thing reads like a movie. A hoot - a total hoot.
A Must-Read for Mystery Fans! Jul 12, 2007
This is a great mystery and it's fun to read. I couldn't put it down till the end and enjoyed every minute of it. The book is well written. The story and the characters are well-crafted. It's hilarious and entertaining. I loved the style.
In London private eye Thornton King, who formerly worked for MI5 and was made redundant, and Holly Day observe several seemingly uncorrelated bizarre murders. Suddenly they get into focus. But why'?
