After accompanying her bitter, thankless mother-in-law to far-away Bethlehem, Ruth marries a much older man?a relative of her deceased husband. Why? So her mother-in-law can eat. Relevant and Timely Truths for Today's Women Jul 31, 2007
I often find myself wondering how the lives of women in the Bible can relate to mine. In Glahn's newest addition to the Coffee Cup Bible Series, the life of Ruth is explored. Through the writer's in-depth research, I was able to see what things are culture related, and what truths are timeless and applicable in my life today. Premium Roast with Ruth brings to life God's goodness and provision in the life of a woman who was faithful in her willingness to put others' needs before her own comfort and security.
This study, as with the others in the Coffee Cup Bible Series, is conveniently formatted for use in any place, at any time. Glahn alternates between passages taken directly from Scripture, insightful commentary and anecdotes from her own experiences, and personal reflection opportunities for the reader, making this a perfect Bible Study choice for groups and individuals alike.
Intriguing Bible Study Jul 22, 2007
You've just inhaled Monday's lunch special, looked down at your watch, and realized you have only fifteen minutes before heading back to the office. What now? How do you make the most of your last fast fifteen minutes? Author and seminary professor Sandi Glahn has written the Coffee Cup Bible Studies to help women "on the go," like me, make the most of their study time in the midst of a chaotic lifestyle. I can (and have) read my bible study during my hair appointments, waiting in the doctor's lobby, and in my daughter's school parking lot while waiting for school to dismiss.
If you're looking for a bible study that will captivate you, inspire you and teach you the Word, I encourage you to pick-up a copy of Premium Roast with Ruth today. This intriguing bible study not only drew me into the Word but also into the fascinating world of Ruth. If you've ever wondered what really happened that night on the threshing floor between Ruth and Boaz or what Tamar and Ruth have in common, Premium Roast with Ruth has your answer.
As an added bonus as well as convenience, especially for the woman "on-the-go", rather than boggling your mind to remember to pack up your Bible for bible study, Glahn as included the entire text for each day's lesson.
