Item description for The Lord's Prayer by Gerhard Ebeling...

Written in 1963, The Lord's Prayer is a series of sermons offering a profound reflection on the most significant prayer of the Christian faith. Gerhard Ebeling considers the duality of the two worlds in which we live the eternal and the temporal and how the Lord taught his followers to live in both worlds through prayer. Using the Lord's Prayer as a formula, Ebeling expounds on what prayer is and how we can use the Lord's Prayer as a model for our own prayers.
