Item description for Oink (Spanish Edition) by Arthur Geisert...
The playful and expressive characters in this book -- Mama Pig and her eight piglets -- speak only one word, "oink," as the piglets run off in search of adventure while Mama naps. "The droll illustrations exude an understated hilarity -- and who would have thought that a near-wordless picture book could be quite so noisy, or so much fun." -- Pub-lishers Weekly Reading Rainbow Review Book

Reviews - What do customers think about Oink (Spanish Edition)?
A bucolic silent film Jul 27, 2006
I've heard it said that the best movies should be viewable as silent films: even with the sound off, you should be able to follow the plot. In that, this book is one of the best movies. Pigs communicate; piglets are too clever for their own good; mama pig scolds; and all the while, we know exactly what they're thinking, even though the only word they ever say is "oink!"
good for a variety of pedagogical purposes Mar 6, 2003
If you would like for a reading student or ESL student to practice reading one word repeatedly without getting bored, this is a good book for that purpose.

THE BEST BOOK WITHOUT WORDS YOU'LL EVER READ!!! Mar 15, 1997
A most charming story of highly expressive baby pigletts who have fun getting into trouble and use only a variety of "oinks" to tell their tale
