Item description for Praying Like Jesus What The New Testament Teaches About Prayer: Exploring Christian Faith Through Classic Hymns by Gary Holloway...
Overview Gary Holloway is onto something. He has discovered the secret for revitalizing our personal faith and infusing the Church with the vibrancy that marked her life and witness in the first century. That secret is prayer. "The early Church was a praying Church," Gary points out in this book. "That was the source of their power." He makes a convincing argument that if we are to recapture the power and piety of those first Christians, we're going to have to pray like they did.
Publishers Description More than a how-to manual, this book is designed to immerse us in Scripture and to galvanize us into fervent, faith-charged prayer.
