Reviews - What do customers think about Initial Evidence: Historical and Biblical Perspectives on the Pentecostal Doctrine of Spirit Baptism?
Great Reading on Speaking in Tongues Aug 15, 2001
This book deals with the Pentecostal teaching that speaking in tongues is the initial, physical evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:4).
The book offers several different views of this teaching including some interesting insights from early Pentecostal leaders and sermons.
My only problem with the work is that J.L Hall writes for the Oneness Pentecostal view of speaking in tongues (that one must speak in tongues to be truly saved)...P>If you are interested in biblical teaching on speaking in tongues (1 Cor. 14:18) or you are a Spirit-filled Christian looking to deeper your theological understanding of this teaching and experience, get this book! You will enjoy it.
