I've purchased several swim workout books and have generally been frustrated that they aren't 1) handy around the pool because they aren't waterproof; 2) the workouts are too challenging; or 3) the workouts are too easy. Well this book masters all those issues. It is deck ready (waterproof) so you can leave it at the end of your lane. It has a great number of workouts with an "A" level (hard core swimmer who likes heavy yardage) and a "B" level (a swimmer looking for a little less yardage). The workouts are broken down into distance free, middle distance free, sprint free, the individual strokes, etc. The authors have also created multiple guides for planning your workouts into a 13-week regimen or a 26-week regimen. For those working out on their own, without a coach, this is THE workout book you need.

When I finally got to using it became my best friend. I would highly highly recommend this to anyone who is really really interested in swimming. Don't forget to drink water. Also it works great for regular swimmers as well as triathletes and even coaches (as it says in the book cover).

This is a great product! there are different levels of swimming workouts and the sets are easily altered if you want more or less on a particular day. It really is waterproof too. I keep it at the end of my lane and it is still as good as new (i was a bit skeptical about this).

I am preparing for my first open water training. Have been out of the water for years till I decided to get back into it 3 months ago. Lately however, I have been finding it hard to motivate myself and to make my workout interesting. While this book is not really a motivational tool, it has provided the variety that I'v been looking for. It like the waterproof material and how it is written. Hopefully, it keeps me interested till the competition, which is 2 months away.
