Made our Christmas Cozy! Jan 8, 2009
This book was just what my 13-year-old daughter was looking for. The arrangements are rich and classic in feeling - really created a "Christmasy" feeling in our home! There are many standards, and some we weren't familiar with, which was interesting. My daughter plays at an upper-intermediate level, and these arrangements were easy for her to sight-read and perfect with just a few times through. It is also nice to have the bonus CD to refer to (or just to listen to as well!).
I only gave 4 stars out of 5 because I would not consider these arragements something to be played as a solo at a Christmas program or church service, as the title would suggest. Most of them are too short and simple for that. But they are VERY nice to set the mood for trimming the tree or a holiday gathering, even for caroling!
