Pictures Speak Better and Louder than Words! Apr 13, 2008
Jason Frenn, the author of this powerful book, is perhaps one of the most profound and prolific story tellers of our time. He creates vivid, riveting pictures with his words - pictures so real that you feel yourself living in that scenario, that picture that he has created. The book gripped me from beginning to end with visual after visual, real life experiences that we can all relate to. The entire book is written in a tremendously easy to read format, and the masterful use of analogies and stories captivates the reader's attention on every page of the book.
Jason's vulnerability and sincerity are so transparent, you feel as though he is speaking directly to you, one on one, in a personal intimate conversation. His compassionate heart, blended with his very human experiences, and his ability to see things just as they are - and always as a means for another connection with the Creator - makes this a must read. His suggestions and recommendations for how to live a healthy life on every level of your human experience - physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually - are so simple; not always easy, but definitely simple - that he empowers anyone who reads this book to take control of their own life in a very positive and productive - and loving - way. You finish the book inspired to end the destructive patterns in your own life, replacing them with the foundation of the power of God's love and forgiveness. Thank you Jason for this treasure.
Found a Gem Apr 7, 2008
Gems contain their brilliance in small spaces, and give it up facet by facet. So each page of this slim book delightfully astounds with bit after bit of common sense brilliance.
Sure, there are plenty of spiritual self-help books out there, but this one merits a read for several reasons: First there's the author. After meeting, working with and hearing Jason, it's clear he is the real thing--a man who lives his faith so authentically you can't help but be touched and inspired. Then there's the accessible style of his book. Half-page sections followed by short, one-sentence thoughts make it easy to grasp profound insights, in as little as five minutes or as much as 50. Finally, there are the stories. Not only interesting and entertaining but also poignant and touching, they bring the lessons to life.
While Power to Change is great reading for anyone, it is particularly good for parents, with its wonderfully freeing message that we can be different than our parents. Whatever negative baggage we bring to parenthood, Jason shows how we can move beyond it to be the parents we wish we had. Because the style is so friendly, I even shared several pages with my son who found just the answer he needed in a moment of difficulty.
Thank you Jason, for your ministry and the messages you've taken time to share in Power to Change.
Hope for those without hope! Mar 22, 2008
Jason's POWER TO CHANGE is truly inspirational!
His book contains down to earth stories that convey universal truths. With over 50,000 copies of his book already sold, Jason has obviously connected in a profound way with his readers. I recommend it to all.
This book is a keeper! Mar 21, 2008
What sets this book apart from the other self help books is the author. Jason Frenn writes from the heart. He ties in life experiences and stories that I can relate to. I felt like I was sitting and listening to him as a friend who I can trust. He is a guy who has lived his own life and his advice springs from there... That goes a long way in credibility. This book will be read more than once by me.
Great book Mar 19, 2008
A good friend gave me this book and I'm grateful he did. This book is genius in it's accessibility. I read it in three hours and I just didn't want to put it down. The stories are real and each one of them has a tool for life. I guess it depends on how you read it: some will just see the stories and others will see the deep wisdom. The author gives us permission to join him and see what he saw throughout his life. For me the book felt like gaining perspective on life, looking at my own by comparison to the author's thought-out-life.
As an atheist I could not ignore the love of the message. I read it once and I'm sure I'll go back to read it again when I am looking for spiritual inspiration.
