Encounters with Jesus Jun 18, 2009
I have really enjoyed this book, particularly the points of view the author brings forth. The author has helped me deepen my understanding of John's Gospel along with John's interpretative of the signficance of Jesus. I am a elder in our church and I have used it to help with sermons for a prison ministry with which I am involved. I highly recommend this book.
Not for the Bible student Dec 2, 2007
This book provides ample resource for those involved in preaching and teaching the LITERAL interpretation of the book of John. The author slices and dices 13 passages to inspire the reader or teacher. (A wonderful book for those who hold up the John 3:16 signs at football games.)
Unfortunately, there is absolutely no consideration given to higher criticism so a serious biblical student finds nothing of value here.
