More About Foundation Publication Inc
Foundation Publication Inc is the Publisher of numerous Bibles including the New American Standard Bible, La Biblia de las Américas, and Nueva Biblia Latinoamericana de Hoy Bible translations.
For over four decades, serious Bible students have preferred the New American Standard Bible for its literal translation of the original texts. The NASB is still considered the most literal word-for-word English translation available. Now, with the updated language and wide variety of editions, there is tremendous opportunity for new market growth.
Holding true to this translation’s high standard for accuracy, over 20 eminent scholars recently collaborated to produce an updated edition that enhances clarity and readability without reducing accuracy. Christian leaders, students and Bible readers wholeheartedly agree—the Updated NASB is a smoother, easier read, yet remains true to the original texts.
Visit the Lockman foundation for more information on the NASB, LBLA & NBLH translations.
Reviews - What do customers think about NASB Giant Print Reference-HC?
Thin Paper Nov 2, 2008
I am very happy with the value however, the print from the backside of a page can be seen slightly through to the page you are reading. I'm sure this is nothing that will be "fixed." I suspect the cover and binding will wear out if used too heavily. For me this is no problem since this is one of many bibles that I have and keep this one at home. Blessings
Excellent Bible May 23, 2008
I am very pleased with this Bible. The print is TRULY Giant Print, unlike others. This Bible has 43 lines per page. Very clear to read. Text is true black and paper is true white. It is Smyth sewn, so it will last, and it lays flat on your desk.
I looked long and hard. Apr 28, 2008
As I have gotten older I find it more difficult to read the finer print of most bibles. It doesn't take long for my eyes to tire and I have to stop reading. In my search for a new bible I was not only looking for good sized print but a durable product that would last the years. I am very happy with my search. The book is well constructed with a beautiful leather cover; I will charish it, as will my children.
Nice LARGE print Bible Dec 28, 2007
This Bible really has nice large 14 point font that is extremely easy to read. The leather is very nice too. It has a great "leathery" feel to it. My only complaint is you can see the text on the other side of the page through the paper, which is somewhat distracting but not enough to pass up this particular Bible.
Nice clean typeset in the reliable NASB translation. Jan 16, 2007
Excellent 14-point typeset. Letters have just the right darkness against a crisp, clean, white background. Some large print Bibles out in the market have 14-point typeset but the lettering is faint (to scrimp on ink costs I presume). The concordance is quite sufficient for routine purposes. The maps are clear and the color schemes used make them easy to peruse.
I notice some reviewers have complaints about the so-called bulkiness. I don't find this Bible all that bulky. If one wishes to have 14-point print on good quality paper one cannot expect a thinline weight.
Excellent product from the folks at Lockman. Definitely a must for weary eyes. Home run!
