Item description for Adventures In Phonics Level C (Adventures In Phonics) by Florence Lindstrom...
Overview In the Christian Liberty Adventures in Phonics series students will learn phonetic principles to help them pronounce and read words and sentences. These principles are presented in a logical sequence to help students grasp them effectively. Consistent drills and repetition of the basic concepts will help insure comprehension. Some today would discard the need for phonics and replace it with the Look-Say method. This text reaffirms that the learning of phonics is fundamental for children to develop proper reading skills. The distinctions between sounds and their relation to each other in words are the basic building blocks of reading well. Much of this workbook is a reinforcement of the work introduced in the previous two workbooks, Adventures in Phonics Levels A and B, but at a more difficult level.

Reviews - What do customers think about Adventures In Phonics Level C?
Simple, inexpensive, effective program for phonics instruction Nov 16, 2008
I have used this series to teach three of my own children to read. I am currently using level C for remedial instruction for a friend's older child who has missed phonics instruction in other schools. You can look at the table of contents and see the progression of the instruction. I have all excellent readers and spellers to which I give thanks for this excellent series. If you use this series along with CLP's readers and/or Noah Webster's Handbook for Reading you will have a complete phonics program. I highly recommend this to all the mom's I know who have children who are just starting with reading.
