Overview A sense of purpose is a powerful motivator. Children are more willing to sacrifice, develop self control, and focus their energies on meaningful goals when they believe their lives have purpose. As one highly motivated teen put it, "Why get messed up in drugs and alcohol? I want to do something with my life."<br /><br /> Raising Children On Purpose provides you with the tools you need to inspire a sense of purpose within your children. An easy-to-use survey tool, called The DNA (Divine Notion Awaiting) Analysis, will help to clarify God's unique plan for your child. Reviews - What do customers think about Raising Children On Purpose?
Changing Lives On Child At A Time Aug 24, 2006
Many times we think of parenting as a BIGGER project instead of stopping to observe the miracle standing before us--our child.
Raising Children On Purpose reminds parents that children don't grow up into wonderful adults by chance. They grow up into wonderful adults through lots of hard work, tough decisions, and of course mishaps.
Raising Children On Purpose is about helping parents reconnect to their children on a more emotional and personal level and in doing so, they help their children grow up into secure, functioning adults who can tackle the world and make choices God calls them to make.
It was funny and helpful! Jun 15, 2006
When my minister told me to get this book, I thought, "Oh no, parenting books always make me feel like a slime ball before I finish the first chapter." Instead, I loved it! It was funny, easy to read, and made me think about what my kids need most from me. Thanks for helping me become a better dad! Great father's day gift! Dave Ball
Funny, inspiring, practical! May 23, 2006
I loved the humor and the way the author helped me feel like I was not alone. The stress I experience and mistakes I make at home are not in vain! There is purpose to it all. The book helped me to know that God has a plan for each of my kids and that I am to partner with Him to help them discover it. I liked the survey that gave me insight into the unique "way" they are to go. Get this book for your spouse or friend--it will brighten their day and give them a fresh vision for being a mom or dad. It's about time. Dec 24, 2002
So often when raising our children we turn to the ways of the world and then wonder why their values end up reflecting the degrading morality apparent in today's society. This book is a powerful tool for parents, and cuts right to the heart of the matter. It will challenge you to take an active role in your child's life and to truly consider the priorities you exemplify in your parenting style.
