Item description for One Man's Heaven by Eugene Jacobson...
One Man's Heaven is a personal vision of the afterlife. The book also reflects a lifetime of experiences that shaped the author's sense of justice and forgiveness. This is a Heaven where Mother Teresa requests six handsome escorts and Einstein grows the most beautiful roses, where bad jokes are forgotten the moment they're uttered, and where tourist visits to Hell are not only possible, but encouraged. Leavened with Midwestern humor and self-deprecating commentary on academics and Scandinavians, this is A Divine Comedy for Lutherans and those who love them.

A Teacher's Last Lesson Aug 22, 2007
One Man's Heaven inspires us to contemplate our own ideas of Heaven. The author's simple yet profound conversational style explores his own idea of Heaven as being very close to what he loved on earth; teaching, reading, family, fishing, golf, learning and doing good things for people. Above all, the author was a teacher, and I think this was his last lesson to us. Do good deeds while you are still here on earth and enjoy and appreciate what you love. God works through good people on earth. He tells us to beware of those who preach judgment, fear and hell and that Universal Salvation comes from God's love, forgiveness and ultimate Grace. This is a book well worth reading.
