Reviews - What do customers think about The Message//Remix: Remix the New Testament?
The message Mar 4, 2007
I have listened to all 20 cd's within 1 week's drive to and from work. I am what you could call ignorant to a lot of information about the bible and christianity, and originally a friend recommended the book to me, however it is difficult to sit and read due to my children. I thought about buying the audio version, and it was the best thing i could have done. I am now planning on buying more of the audio bibles in both new and old testament. I read one reviewer say on one of these, it prevents road rage, and sure enough one snowy day I was caught in 20 mile an hour traffic on a 100 mile drive, and it did! It really made the drive seem insignificant. Anybody who is thinking about buying this, do it! If you drive any kind of distance this is a great way to learn! I also loved the speakers and the way they read the message.
Extra features get out of the way Sep 8, 2005
I really enjoyed this product. I was looking for a cheap mp3 version of the Bible and was thrilled to find The Message. While there are extra readings on the disk, they tend to stay out of the way and leave the spotlight to the Message itself. For the price, the quality is excellent and is a great addition to anyone's iPod or CD collection

I've been frustrated with every audio Bible I've ever worked with. I hoped that Eugene Peterson's translation/paraphrase would better lend itself to the spoken word... and I was right. The "celebrity" readings are all a little weaker... Toby Mac's excepted, but the main reader does a phenomenal job, and reads most of the NT for us. If you know you can work with MP3s, this is a super cheap product and the best audio Bible I've ever heard.
