Following in the steps of the recent Biblezine publications, this women's Bible study is very easy and fun to read. I guess one could call it a "Studyzine"? The true story of a woman at the beginning of each chapter all serve to show the theme of the chapter, whether trying to seek acceptance or dealing with an unforgiving heart. The chapters have activities, discussion starters and some great additional resources. This would make a good devotional for quiet time.
Refresh is truly a fresh way of making Bible studies. I hope there will be more in the future!
Women of all ages will benefit from this study.
Great Study for Women Apr 7, 2008
We used this book for Woman's small group study. Now that the study is almost over, I wanted to have an extra copy to give away. It is very well written and insightful, an excellent guide for becoming more real with God and with each other. Highly recommend this book for either a group study or for individual growth.
Excellent Book Oct 8, 2007
We purchased this book for our Bible Study and we are all enjoying the stories and learning to work through many of our own struggles with the book as a guide.
The authors combine many of the issues that face women today (especially the superwoman one) with bibical passages that we find most helpful.
I would recommend this book to anyone, and would highly recommend it to a group Bible Study.
For women of ALL ages - the best in a long time Oct 7, 2007
I was at my gym and saw another women reading this in the coffee bar area. As I did my weights I thought - "How clever to bring her Refresh book here & read God's Word!" I asked her how she liked it and she shouted back across the gym it was the best ever. I had just finished it and couldn't agree more. It is multi-generational, multi-cultural and relevant to today. Will give it as a Christmas gifts to my friends.
