Item description for Soul Cravings by Erwin McManus...
Overview We can spend our whole lives trying to satisfy the one insatiable part of our being, our soul craving. Our capacity for spiritual experience both proves our need for something greater than ourselves and leaves us wanting when we fill it with anything but God.
Soul Cravings is a powerful, down-to-earth exposition that interprets our need for community, meaning, and destiny as common sense apologetics pointing to the existence of and our need for God. The book will deeply stir the reader to consider and chase after the spiritual implications of their soul's deepest longings.

Reviews - What do customers think about Soul Cravings?
It's honest Mar 8, 2007
Erwin McManus' book is an honest exploration of the human heart. Using examples from his own life(some funny, some sad, all introspective), McManus gently nudges us into a place where we can think and question. Like Scorates, McManus asks more questions than he does answer them or offer up advice. Soul Cravings is a portal to self-examination. I invite you to try it out.
I don't plan on reading this Feb 21, 2007
Why?.. Because all of this books are the same.. Each has a few changes but same similar message.. I like Erwin.. but the next book he writes needs to be about something different.. a new idea. Not just a different title with the same ideas.. But if you haven't read one of his books.. i would totally recommend doing so.
Love lights the way Feb 20, 2007
Love is probably the most misunderstood word in the English today. And this is truly tragic. For those in search of the true meaning of love, Soul Cravings is a must read book. Erwin's meditations are filled with beautiful insights that will make you smile and bring you to tears. Like a river that ulimately finds it way to the sea, Soul Cravings takes the reader on a journey that connects God with love, and then shows us how love can cure so many ills of the world today. As St. Paul told the people of Corinth, without love, we are nothing. Erwin's book is a timely reminder of this fundamental and universal truth. This is a book that everybody should read at some point in their life. I plan on giving out copies of this book to as many people as I can. I can't think of a better gift to my loved ones and my enemies. God bless you, Erwin!
Food for the Soul Feb 16, 2007
Erwin did it again. This powerful book is broken into about 75 entries. Some of the entry titles include: "When Love Cuts Like a Knife," "Love is Not a Four Letter Word," and "Bloody Sunday Leads to Cheap Monday."
This book is almost impossible to read in one sitting. Each section is much too rich for a quick read. Ewrin's words will stretch your understanding of God's love, life, meaning, cravings, and destiny.
Erwin, thanks for the awesome and inspiring book!
It is Erwin, I don't know if he can possibly right anything less than a 5... Jan 9, 2007
It is Erwin McManus, I am not sure if it is even possible for him to right anything less than a 5 star book. Out of all the Christian books I have read, this is probably the only one that I would feel comfortable giving to a non-christian friend. And for those of us who are followers of Jesus, it is a perfect book for helping us in the articulation of things...READ IT!
