Reviews - What do customers think about ESV Journaling Bible-Plum Regency Wallpaper?
What a great way to read the Bible! Oct 16, 2008
I love the style of this Bible. The natural leather is just fun to carry and hold. The layout is good, but I do wish that there was more empty space for notes and larger font. I'm guessing that would make it too big to carry around though, so it's a compromise worth making.
Overall, I really like this Bible and I'm glad I bought it. Well worth the money.
compact and different Sep 6, 2008
Nice little bible, compact enough to fit in a large handbag without all the weight of a normal sized bible. love the yellow pages, and plain text. would have liked to have words of Christ in red also capital letters when referring to God. But on the whole, it's a great little bible to have with you when in Church, margins are large enough to write text easily and readable. love the cover too.
ESV Journaling Bible Aug 14, 2008
I bought the ESV Journaling Bible because a) I did not have this translation and b) I like to write a fair amount in my Bibles and I thought this would be giving me a lot of space in which to do so. I like the translation just fine; it is very concise, e.g., "Get wisdom." The journaling space is on the far ends of each page, with fairly narrow lines in which to write. The print size of the text is also smallish. It is a PRETTY thing and that also contributed to my decision to buy this Bible. If you are hoping for lots of writing space, look elsewhere. If you want average note space and a clear English translation of Scripture in a compact form, this is for you.
Books Missing Aug 3, 2008
I ordered this bible as a gift for my son - when it arrived, to my amazement, the books of the bible ended with 3rd John - although correctly bound - it just ended - the Books of Jude and Revelation along with the extra items (page numbers were indicated on the page of contents in the front of the Bible) WERE LEFT OUT - ALL of THESE PAGES MISSING COMPLETELY! a defective product -
Very nice Bible at a great price Jul 28, 2008
I was looking for a Bible that has room to write notes in, but isn't gigantic or really heavy - this one was it! It's a great size and has lots of room for notes. The font is a little small, but I'm glad for the trade off in size. The only down side is that it doesn't also come with a concordance or cross references, but those are easy enough to make up for (you can find it easily on the web). It also has a beautiful cover. Not sure how durable it is yet, but so far so good (a few weeks and lots of transport).
