Reviews - What do customers think about Seven Days in Heaven?
Emmanuel's living testimony May 10, 2008
I have been with Emmanuel in Australia (May 2008) over several weeks. How can I verify his testimony? Well, I can't directly. I have to rely on the testimony of others - like Bishop Dr. A. Kitonga who investigated the reports and interviewed many witnesses. I have touched and seen articles from African newspapers that reported his story. I have also touched his damaged left foot and prayed with him holding his misshapen left hand. His injuries were exactly as I saw in the newspaper photographs and this book. But it is his joy that convinces me. I am privileged to have known Christians in my journey that I desire to emulate - some famous and some nameless. These are mostly people of bold faith, real joy, a love of God, and enduring persecution. Emmanuel is one of these men. His joy is stronger that anyone I know, quite literally. Just as he quotes often, in his tourist-book English; "JOY, JOY, JOY 24 HOURS" Emmanuel prayed with me on the phone for a dying relative in excellent English, yet when I met him we could only say "Hallelujah" and try to communicate through gestures, smiles and hugs (which works really well with Emmanuel!). Anything else required an interpreter. This is another confirmation - if you can take my word for it. His message is energizing, but also sobering. We must get real with God. Heaven is a real place and available to anyone who calls on Jesus, yet Hell is also real. Take strong heed of the warnings about forgiveness given many times by Jesus himself. If you do not forgive, God will not forgive you. Fellow Christians - God is full of grace and forgives our failings, but He has a zero tolerance on unforgiveness. Emmanuel's message is a wake up call - I'd rather be sure than sorry in the ultimate gamble - eternity! BTW: His website given in the book is; http://www.7daysinheaven.org Tim Lovett May 10, 2008
