Reviews - What do customers think about Coals of Fire?
WOW! You do not have to be a Christian to love this book. Jun 29, 2009
This little book is a wonderful opportunity to explore some of the most difficult situations humans have in life. And in that exploration, these simple stories offer much more than hope-they offer real change- in quiet responses that create an earth-shattering change. Amazingly, over and over, the role modeling from the stories reveal that the small difference in perception or response is not a move toward change, but the clear and resonant change itself, instant and refined in their magic. Based on the Christian Scripture, Romans 12:20-21 "If your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink. In doing this, you will heap burning coals upon his head. Do not overcome evil by doing evil, but overcome evil with good." This book has typically been sold and read in Anabaptist venues: Mennonite, Amish, Church of the Brethren; recognized universally in the world's peace faiths, such as the Quakers. Bedtime stories, family conversations, bathroom material, conference reading or something to read during an airline flight, Coals of Fire is a great choose over and over and over.
