Item description for Consider Christianity: Evidence for the Bible by Elgin L. Hushbeck Jr....
In its first edition, Consider Christianity by Elgin L. Hushbeck, Jr. presented a basic defense of the Christian faith suitable for use by the thoughtful layman or the clergyman in need of answers to key questions about the reasons for faith. In this new edition from Energion Publications, he has reorganized and expanded the material, and divided it into two volumes. This volume is the first and deals with the Bible, its inspiration and authority. Hushbeck presents the evidence clearly, leading the reader to a clear understanding of how the Bible was produced, and why it can be taken as a reliable foundation for Christian faith.

Reviews - What do customers think about Consider Christianity: Evidence for the Bible?
A light in the darkness May 11, 2006
Consider Christianity Volume 1 is a book I wish someone had given me 50 years ago. When I was in my late teens, I was given a book by Ernest Renan. Critical of the Bible, Renan's views invoked serious doubts in me about the conflicting explanations of the Scriptures. When I took these doubts to the leaders of my church, I was impatiently told "do not ask questions, just have faith". To them, the case was closed. To me, the ensuing spiritual crisis struggled on for many decades.
How valuable Hushbeck's book would have been then, and how much needless pain it would have eliminated!
A book for thinking readers, Consider Christianity allows you to learn AND REASON FOR YOURSELF the validity of Hushbeck's documentation. In a clear, concise, and logical manner, Consider Christianity answers the questions that each and every one of us has about the Scriptures. By the time you complete the book, you thoroughly understand the true meaning of God's message.
If anyone out there lives under a cloud of Spiritual doubt, Hushbeck's Consider Christianity is a light in the darkness.
