More About Jerry S. Eicher
Jerry Eicher lives in Farmville, Virginia, with his wife, Tina, and their four children, all of whom are still at home. He runs a construction business and writes books as a sideline.
He wrote his first fiction while in grade school. A short essay entry he submitted in a writing contest won a year's free subscription to the magazine sponsoring the contest, and publication among the other second place finishes. Through an entry in the Writer's Edge, Harvest House picked up the Adams County Trilogy in early 2008.
Eicher writes his stories from an inside perspective. He holds a love for the Amish people, their culture, and their way of thinking. They are a unique part of American heritage, as Amish in their present form exist only in North America. Amish are people with a pertinent message to give, and Eicher seeks to be true to that message.

Reviews - What do customers think about Rebecca's Return (Adams County Book 2)?
Rebecca's Return Jan 10, 2010
Compared to Beverly Lewis, these books are boring. I had a hard time staying interested. There's very little action and the story line is weak at best.
The author spends too much time describing cooking oatmeal and milking cows and not enough time on characterization.
After reading his first two books in this series I still don't know or really even like the main characters.
If you are a casual reading of Amish fiction spend your money on Beverly Lewis or another author. This is my opinion of course and obviously other readers enjoyed the 2 part series to date.
As good as the first!!! Dec 14, 2009
Jerry Eicher brings us back to Rebecca's story, with book 2 in the trilogy: Rebecca's Return. This book, if possible, is better than the first.
This story of Rebecca, is,again, filled with faith, love, secrets, promises and hope. I don't want to give away any spoiler's of this book, so I will keep my review short. I loved being able to visit with my wonderful Amish friends again, and being there the help them and pray for them.
If you have read Rebecca's Promise, you MUST read Rebecca's Return! It's a perfect mix of Amish, struggles and faith that will keep you hanging on until the end! This book gets 5 stars and two thumbs!

Always a good read Nov 18, 2009
I love books like this as they show a time and life that we haven't known in many years. Life is always so fast paced that a look at Amish life is relaxing to me.
