Great Mystery With Insight Into The World of The Homeless Dec 28, 2005
This is a murder mystery like no other. The characters are complex and real, and the plot compels the reader to pick up the book at every opportunity until it is finished. While that is standard fare for a well written murder mystery, this book combines fast paced action and character development with genuine insight into a world that is unknown to most readers. The plot unfolds against a backdrop of homeless shelters and the very real people who live in them. Few mysteries provide insight and thought provoking ideas that stay with the reader for long after the book is finished. By any measure, this is a worthwhile read.
Spence, Thrills, and Suprises Oct 14, 2005
I am not much of a fiction reader, but once I started reading, I just couldn't stop. The character development is most amazing, so much like you and me, yet their little quirks assured they were never boring. There were so many suspects, but clear clues, yet I would never have figured out who was the culprit until the end. My wife loved the suttle romance weaved throughout. My teenage son even loved it. It's very unusual for all three of us to read the same book. Great job! Look forward to a sequel.
Enjoyable Read Sep 2, 2005
A thoroughly enjoyable read. It was very suspenseful and had me quessing incorrectly the whole way. Good character development and great underlying message. A book for the entire family to enjoy and perhaps discuss. When can we look for a sequel?
