Item description for New Testament Commentary by Dr R. L. Davis...
Overview Serving God involves many variables, including a lifetime of study and a commitment to God and his will, prayer, and carrying out his plans on earth. Many years ago, God instructed me to write this verse-by-verse commentary on the New Testament. One commentary cannot begin to explain all that is involved in the revelation of God's word to humanity. Therefore, this work is meant only to complement other works, for there is nothing new under the sun! This is not a Greek word study or a reference study. We are interested only in what the Spirit is saying to the church today. This commentary provides insights that God's Spirit revealed to me during the exhaustive process of formulation. It is my prayer that you will be richly enhanced by this work and that it will be a blessing to you and your family.

Reviews - What do customers think about New Testament Commentary?
Theology Simplified Nov 25, 2003
This author sheds light on verses that are simply passed over in other commentaries. Dr. Davis is not shy in dealing with hard to understand passages. Some of his views appear controversial at first glance. But, after reading all his comments, it becomes obvious that his views are not at odds with scripture, only with tradition. Mr. Davis' notes are concise but not dry and dusty, his personality has found its way onto the printed page. With over 100 Study Bibles and a full bookcase of commentaries, I must admit this is the first that I have read cover to cover.
