Item description for Two Nations Under God: Why You Should Care about Israel by Tom Doyle & Joel C. Rosenberg...

Overview
In Two Nations Under God, American missionary Tom Doyle presents even greater reasons why the U.S. should show concern for Israel.  Part one, “Why Should America Care?” is a biblical and historical primer on Israel with fascinating insights into connections between American and Middle East culture.  Part two, “Sorting Out the Middle East Maze,” presents more facts about Islam and the spiritual roots behind the Middle East conflicts.  Part three, “Maximizing the Moment,” is a call to action and prayer for the American church regarding the future of Israel.

Publishers Description
Why should you care about Israel? With the war in Iraq, possible engagement in Iran, and an imminent presidential election, U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East and the issue of solidarity with Israel remain important. In "Two Nations Under God," American missionary Tom Doyle presents even greater reasons why the U.S. should show concern for Israel. Part one, "Why Should America Care?" is a biblical and historical primer on Israel with fascinating insights into connections between American and Middle East culture. Part two, "Sorting Out the Middle East Maze," presents more facts about Islam and the spiritual roots behind the Middle East conflicts. Part three, "Maximizing the Moment," is a call to action and prayer for the A merican church regarding the future of Israel. Best of all, readers will learn throughout that, despite the headlines, there is plenty of good news coming from the Middle East. Doyle reports on the increasing number of Muslims converting to Christianity, profiles local disciples and church planters, and provides helpful timelines, comparison charts, photographs, and more to keep every detail concerning Israel in perspective.
Endorsements:
"Chaos. Carnage. Confusion. For many, that's the modern Middle East. But Tom Doyle gets it. Better yet, he can really explain it. With a pastor's heart, he clearly and concisely describes why God loves the Jews of Israel and her Muslim neighbors, and why we should, too. What's more, Tom reveals how powerfully God is moving in the modern Middle East, and how we can join Him. "Two Nations under God" is a must read--fascinating, insightful, and deeply thought-provoking. Get one for yourself, and another for your pastor."
Joel C. Rosenberg, New York Times best-selling author of "Epicenter: Why the Current Rumblings in the Middle East Will Change Your Future"

Reviews - What do customers think about Two Nations Under God?

excellent  Jul 1, 2009
I so enjoyed reading the total history of Israel and why she is so very loved by God,as well as how the events of today will play out, that I have ordered 4 more copies for my kids.

Everything was great!  Feb 9, 2009
Everything was just as promised. On time, in excellant shape, all around very good.

Almighty God shows His sovereignty in the chaotic Middle East.  Nov 4, 2008
This book gives a good history of Israel as a nation, the United States role, both good and bad, in bringing about this prophetic event. It also tells amazing stories about individuals coming to know Jesus through dreams and visions, the trememdous growth of the underground church in Iran,Iraq, the Gaza strip and the persecution that is leading to even more trememdous growth. God's plan and HIs purposes and His people are unstoppable. Read this and know God never fails to fulfill His promises.

Two Nations Under God  Oct 31, 2008
Very interesting! It provided me with a lot better understanding of Islam and the reason for the constant conflict in the Middle East. The author gives the reader a concise summary of Israel's history as a nation as well as the Jewish people in general. He really gave me much needed insight on the needs of both sides (Israeli & Arab) and helped my perspective immensely. Very enlightening book!

One-sided  Oct 28, 2008
Unfortunately, this is another lop-sided Christian book on loving Israel, or else. Too bad because there is some good stuff in here. But the overall tone is one of fear towards Muslims and blind love towards a state called Israel (NOT the chosen people, those would be "in Christ" as Paul clearly states in Romans and Galatians). Tom I love your heart, but not your eschatology.
