Reviews - What do customers think about Building Wealth in Israel: A Guide to International Investments and Financial Planning?
Not too sophisticated May 6, 2007
There was a lot of useful information in this book for the foreign reader (in this case U.S.A.). A fair comparison would be with J.K. Lasser's "Your Income Tax," since this volume's main topic is taxation. It is not nearly as good, in explaining numerous exceptions to rules and complexities of rules. And what it does present is not put in a very sophisticated or comprehensive manner. Both books target the non-professional reader, but this one talks down to its audience.
A guide for the new 'Oleh' on investing in Israel Dec 19, 2006
This book aims at a certain audience, new immigrants to Israel from Western countries, primarily from the United States. It aims to be a comprehensive guide to the world of investment and finance. It is clearly written and in fact presents a kind of capsule overall guide to both U.S. and Israeli financial instruments. It has sections on the Markets, on Stocks and Bonds, on Mutual Funds, on Investing like a Pro, on Work- related benefit plans, on Creating a Budget, on Planning for the Future, on Estate Planning, on Tax Codes in the U.S. and Israel. It is clearly and competently written and certainly should be of great help to those who know how to master such material, and use it wisely.
