Reviews - What do customers think about The Accidental Voyage: Discovering Hymns Of The Early Centuries (Mr. Pipes Books)?

For Older Readers  Feb 24, 2007
I chose this book to be one of the read-alouds that I do with my children. Both fall into the age category suggested by the publisher. Unfortunately, as we read along there were so many things that I had to explain that it moved very slowly and we all found it to be incredibly boring. Perhaps if I had tried to read it myself (to myself), I may have had better luck. I don't mind taking time to explain some things. As a matter of fact, I prefer a book that challenges them and requires that we learn things as well as be entertained, but I think that this one was a little much for lower end of the recommended age group.
