School bus book - Fisher Price Sep 6, 2008
This is a good book for stimulating curiosity and teaching comparisons in pre-schoolers. Most children love any book with a flap to lift.
Excellent Series Sep 13, 2007
The Little People book series is fantastic. I am a teacher and love these books. My daughter, turning four, has had them since she was born and has yet to get bored with them. In fact, we're putting the rest on her wish list! They constantly teach, no matter the age of the child, and are easy for little hands and fingers. The wording is simple yet effective, and the illustrations do a great job of complementing the words and really letting the child understand the emotion, opposite, or whatever the word is being taught. The pages themselves promote further discussions that can be teachable moments. I love reading these with my daughter and especially seeing how excited she gets when she can do things in them on her own (pointing out the opposites to ME, for example).
It's a hit! Jul 25, 2007
We received this book as a gift, and it quickly became my twins' most favorite book; so much that we had to be another copy so they each had one! They love discovering whats under all the flaps, and really seem to be captivated by familiar Little People from the Little People videos and play sets. We have had this book for over a year now, and it still is both of their favorites!
My daughter absolutely LOVES this book Aug 28, 2006
My 16 month old daughter, Sophie, was introduced to the Little People Lift-the-flap series with the Farm book when she was 9 months old. She loved that book so much that for easter I purchased school bus and the cars & trains one, just today I bought the newest ones (busy town and the zoo). She gets so exicted after saying "book" when I pick her up and put her in my lap and begin reading the pages (that i now have memorized). She also enjoys lifting the flaps herself. Through these books she has learned a lot of differnt animals including what sounds they make. I would give these books ten stars if I could and plan to begin giving them as gifts to other children.
2 year old loves it Apr 25, 2006
My 2 year old absolutely loves this book, but I must say it is one of the most exhausting books we have. There are too many flaps and the content is too much for a 2 year old to take in. We have been breaking it up when we read to her. One night we talk about the colors, the next shapes. Good book.
