Item description for Animals of the Ocean, in Particular the Giant Squid (HOW) by Doris Haggis-On-Whey...
Overview Shares humorous misinformation about marine animals, including the duties of squid appendages, what water does on weekends, shark religion, and the kind of music that giant squids listen to on the train.
Here is the third installment in a series of reference books, all written by Dr. and Mr. Doris Haggis-on-Whey, a team of highly energized and deeply focused scientists with over sixty-seven combined years of experience at their command, including six months spent lifting awkwardly-sized boxes.
Animals of the Ocean advances many heretofore unexplored discoveries and opinions, including squid dating dos and don'ts, why squid are not at all able to watch television in black and white, the ways in which people who don't know any better might think fish are not animals, the long-term effects of salt water on musical theater, and also the adventure of Gunther.
Animals of the Ocean, in Particular the Giant Squid comes with a foil-stamped and leather-inspired cover. Its pages are full color and illustrated without reserve. This book does not contain a warning label, but if it did, it would advise readers to enjoy its pages only in small and furtive doses, such as while waiting your turn at tetherball.

Reviews - What do customers think about Animals of the Ocean, in Particular the Giant Squid (HOW)?
Basically the best book ever written. Sep 20, 2008
Completes the triad of Dr. and Mr. Haggis-on-Whey volumes (although I have to hope that there are more in the works). Very informative.
More hilarity Jun 9, 2008
I love this series of books. Great topics of conversation. Makes a great gift for any age.
Well, I lol'ed Feb 17, 2008
I can understand the sentiments of reviewer JMB; if absurdist humor isn't your kind of thing, encounters with it can be really irritating. Now, if it is your kind of humor, this book is a great find; I certainly enjoyed it.
If you're unsure, I suggest using the this site Online Reader (scroll back up to the top of the page and click the cover of the book, or the link "Search inside this book"). Might as well get an idea of what the book's like before spending your cash.
Humor Dec 6, 2007
Buy this book because it's hilarious! The 3rd edition of the Hagis and Whey encyclopedia. It is not accurate, so don't let a kid type a book report on it or anything. It's intended only for humor. This one is not as good as "Your Disgusting Head", or "Giraffes! Giraffes?", but definitely close. If you like British comedy in general, you will get a good laugh at this.
Great Book, Amazon shipping was terrible. Sep 14, 2007
The book is fantastic, completely hysterical. But, when this site sent the book they didn't package it well enough and it got all beat up and bent. The books I ordered used came to me in better condition.
