Item description for Deadly Emotions: Understand the Mind-Body-Spirit Connection That Can Heal or Destroy You by Don Colbert...
Overview Describes how negative emotions can have an adverse effect on one's health and provides information on ways to achieve a positive emotional well-being and find good health.
Did you know that negative emotions can adversely affect your health? Depression, anger, guilt, condemnation, low self-esteem-these are only a few of the lethal toxins that threaten body and spirit.
Offering a clear definition of deadly emotions-what they are, where they come from, how they manifest themselves, and their effects on the body-Dr. Colbert uses scientific evidence to support his views. He further offers hope in the form of God's power to deliver readers from these toxins, focusing on the power of forgiveness and repentance, the value of a merry heart, and the joy of the Lord. Finally, Dr. Colbert shares insights on the role nutrition plays in removing the physical toxins that inhibit true health.

Reviews - What do customers think about Deadly Emotions?
Bought as a gift, but recipient seems pleased Mar 8, 2007
I'm not in a position to review the material because I bought this as a gift for my mother, who has gotten very much into this subject recently and asked me to buy this for her. She seems quite satisfied with it, though, and recommended I buy a copy for myself.
great advice Jan 24, 2007
This book helped me realize what my emotions were actually doing to my health and well-being.

All over the place. Confusing. Poorly organized. I was unable to read this book and would love to return it. Bad very bad.
Deadly Emotions Don' t Have To Be Jun 5, 2006
I ordered this book with the idea that I may use some tid bits of information for a training I will be conducting over the coming months. As I started reading I began to recognize my own toxic behavior as well as that of others around me. By using these principles healing has already begun in my life.
This is an easy to read book that speaks plainly, simply, and directly regarding how the emotions and physical responses when running unchecked make you sick and dysfuctional. It is also very good about pointing out realistic answers.
Even though he references scriptures in his writings it is in no way preachy or overbearing. If you are a practicing Christian, non practicing, or another faith entirely you can read this book, not feel preached to, and benefit by it.
God Bless Don Colbert Jan 17, 2006
Don Colbert is an amazing man. He already pointed out that the Bible has cures for yeast infections (though that does me no good really...only by default as it makes my best friends' wives a little happier when I come around), obesity, halitosis, body odor, irritable bowel syndrome, and just about any other bodily function and/or misfunction you can imagine. Who knew, am I right? I tell you, that Jesus was an amazing fella, and it's only thanks to Don Colbert that we're able to realize it. NOW, thankfully, he's made me realize that there are emotions, thoughts and feelings that if I even dare think and/or feel them, I run the risk of killing myself. That's a scary thought. But, I need not be afraid anymore because Don Colbert has my back. When I start to tread those waters and get angry or think about that crazy driver on the street who cut me off, and get the least bit upset, I put myself quickly in check so I don't spontaneously kill myself. Thank you Don Colbert because I truly had no idea. You are, literally, a life saver.
