Item description for Baby's World Board Book: Baby Animals (Baby's World Board Books) by DK Publishing...
Unlock your babies learning potential! DK's new Baby's World series uses bold, full-color photography of everyday objects paired with clear, precise word labels which have been carefully designed to support children's first phase of intellectual development. There is now much evidence to support that reading with infants has a profound impact on a variety of essential skills that are the basis for a lifetime of learning happiness. This series is an ideal way to maximize babies' potential while sharing the joys of reading with parents and caregivers.
Outline Baby animals are irresistible, and this small, sturdy DK board book captures the fuzzy softness of bunnies, ducklings, and even a furry baby gorilla in splendid photographs with "touch and feel" components. While this board book is slim, featuring only five animals to stroke, tickle, and scratch, the rabbit's fur is luxurious, the ducklings satisfyingly fluffy, and the calf realistically velvety. Other board books in DK's Touch and Feel series include Touch and Feel: Ponies, Touch and Feel: Puppy, Touch and Feel: Kitten, Touch and Feel: Wild Animals, and Touch and Feel: Farm. Reviews - What do customers think about Baby's World Board Book: Baby Animals (Baby's World Board Books)?
Great first book Aug 29, 2002
Well made, sturdy board book. One of the only books my 16 month old son will look at and talk to us about. He loves the pictures and the fact that part of it is fun to touch. I recommend this book and I am considering getting some of the other ones in the series.
A great book to share with your baby Feb 6, 2002
This series of board books are fantastic.
I started collecting these for my daughter after she was given one at 6 months as she loved them so much. The book is simple and easy to read with wonderful real photography (not illustrations)and textures on each page that relate to the text on the page.
It's a great book to get your baby involved in the reading process, to learn what you are saying also means a texture they can actually touch. It's also a book that baby can read alone with easy to turn pages and endless fascination with the different textures.
A wonderful book to get your children learning, thinking and enjoying books. You can never have too many books to read with your children.
Baby goes wild for Baby Animals Dec 31, 1999
This book has caught the undivided interest of my nearly nine month old daughter. She will crawl to it frequently during her play time and turn the pages, touching and and exploring the tactile surprises found on each page. I highly recommend it for quality parent-baby book time.
