Reviews - What do customers think about Theomatics II: God's Best-Kept Secret Revealed?
Why does it Matter? Jan 16, 2004
You don't need Theomatics to prove GOD exists, just get on your knees and experience Him!That you can't do with Theomatics.Like the man before the great white throne judgement,Who says, "I'm sorry GOD I cant go to HELL Your theomatic numbers are wrong" The time frame in which we live was made very clear by Paul,in the book of Ephesians 1:1-14 The Father is calling out His sons whom He predestinated before the destruction of the world (foundation)in Christ Jesus to be like His only begotten Son Jesus,Who will be called home before the rapture of the church Phil 3:14. because they are not of this world,Jn 8:23.and theirs more much more but because of space I cant go into it here.
THERE IS MATHEMATICAL PROOF. THEOMATICS IS THE REAL McCOY Dec 31, 2003
Mr. Washburn has given 2 mathematical proofs that Theomatics is not a hoax. The first is contained right here, in Theomatics 2, Theomatics is proven right through the scientific method. Mr. Washburn also made another proof through the scientific method that Theomatics is correct. This second document is called Theomatics and the Scientific Method and, just like the proof in Theomatics 2, the scientific method is used. HOWEVER, this time the document is FAR MORE DETAILED AND EXTENSIVE. And as for the person that claimed in one of these reviews that there was some kind of trouble in publishing proof in a scientific journal, the Theomatics and the Scientific Method proof document is too extensive to put in a scientific journal anyways. Happy trails to you.
WE'RE GETTING CLOSER!! Oct 5, 2003
I am by no means a mathmatician, but I have to say. Del presents quite a case. I am always hopeful that someone will come up with convincing evidence that the bible is divinely inspired and not just "penned by a human". I'm convinced,Del! There are others who have reviewed this book, that believe he isn't credible because his method is incorrect. With so much at stake why would someone go to all the trouble & PAIN. I truly believe that those nose-thumbing mathematician jockies should at the very minimum, LOOK INTO IT. But I guess these individuals lack courage (the balls) and are afraid of "what their collegues might think". OR maybe they have their heads so far stuck in their pocket-protectors they can't think for themselves. To me, there is more than enough evidence that says beyond coincendence the bible was not fabricated by man. NOTE: It takes as much faith to be an atheist as it takes to believe the bible is GOD's word. The Evolution THEORY has NOT been proven; therefore it is not FACT! The masses just have faith that is fact! What a pity! How ironic!
The Bottom Line... Jan 13, 2003
A great book for those of you interested in a study that goes deeper than just trying to make predictions about the future. THE BOTTOM LINE: It combines the scientific evidences of Bible code research with the spiritual insight of christian numerology.
Nonsense Jan 9, 2002
I read this book because I was interested in the bible code phenomenon and wondered what other kinds of numerology was applied to the bible. What I found was far different from the bible code.
The original bible code paper was published in a peer-reviewed journal. Because it had to follow certain academic and mathematical conventions, expert mathematicians were able to dissect the bible code claims and prove they are false. This destroyed the credibility of the bible code. But at least the bible code had the merit of being "falsifiable".
Theomatics, on the other hand, does not present any clear method of finding numerical patterns. It is all very ad hoc and there is no serious attempt at a statistical experiment, at least not in a format that would be accepted by any reputable scientific journal. Therefore, theomatics belongs much more to fringe mathematics and pseudoscience than the bible code, which was simply incorrect mathematics presented in a more rigorous style.
If the author really wants to be taken seriously, he should learn more about how statistical experiments are set up, and then design an experiment using a priori rules which do not allow any wiggle room such as was found in the bible code.
In the meantime, the mathematical judgement on this book is that it is yet another example of pseudoscience in the service of religious faith.
