Item description for UP & AWAY: The Mystery, the Lord's Day and the Predestination of the One New Man by David Winston Busch...
What is God doing with the Gentiles today? Why is He doing it? When will He stop? What did you become a partaker of when you believed the gospel? What is our relationship to the Day of the Lord? What does God expect you to know about the future? What is your destiny and hope as a member of the body of Christ? Is "rightly dividing" important to your study of the word of truth? By following the Pauline pattern for edification, this book addresses these questions and more through an examination of the doctrinal issues set forth in the Thessalonian epistles. If successful, it ought to cause you to "walk in wisdom" and "redeem the time." It ought to produce "comfort," "stability" and an "earnest" expectation and longing in your soul for your "blessed hope" when you will be caught UP and AWAY. David Winston Busch has a B.A. in history from S.U.N.Y. Albany and a J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law. His passion is for the edification of the saints and the magnification of the Lord Jesus Christ. He is committed to "the preaching of Jesus Christ according to the revelation of the mystery" (Romans 16:25).

Reviews - What do customers think about UP & AWAY: The Mystery, the Lord's Day and the Predestination of the One New Man?
In a League All His Own....Still May 29, 2008
With this third installment, David brings his eschatological trilogy full-circle, while, once again, "raising the bar" and "setting the standard" that is nothing short of excellent. Actually, I think it would be more accurate to say "RE-setting the standard"; the standard revealed to/through the Apostle Paul but, tragically, has become a casualty initiated by "the wiles of the devil" and promoted by the poison of tradition. Once again, David holds both himself and his audience to the highest of exegetical standards, while, at the very same time, never losing sight of the "simplicity that is in Christ" (2 Cor 11:3-5).
With so much ignorance and/or misunderstanding concerning both Israel and the Body of Christ as well as the corresponding eschatological scenarios associated with each, David's writings are very possibly the best I've ever had the privilege to read; and Up & Away: The Mystery, the Lord's Day and the Predestination of the One New Man only confirms such a declaration.
I've always believed that there exists so much confusion concerning the Rapture of the Body of Christ because the doctrine is NOT (nor has ever been) a study of eschatology but one of ecclesiology. When one understands the true nature of the Body (which can only be achieved through "right division"), our "blessed hope" becomes clear. The same holds true for the Lord's Day, the Tribulation, Prophecy, etc.; all of which have never been the "problems" but only the symptoms of a greater problem--man's utter failure to "rightly divide the Word of Truth" thereby neglecting the "preaching of Jesus Christ according to the revelation of the mystery."
This biblical mandate is at the core of Brother David's pen and Up & Away, once again, remains true to form. Maybe that's why David's the best.
Eagerly Awaiting Dec 11, 2007
My name is Ron Knight. I am pastor of Twin Cities Grace Fellowship in Roseville, Minnesota and I am eagerly awaiting my copy of David's 3rd book, the one dealing with the Rapture of the church, the Body of Christ!
I have read both of his previous books in this series and if those 2 are any indication...this 3rd one should be just as good or better.
I thank and praise the Lord Jesus Christ for brother David and having this man use his writing skills and most importantly his knowledge and grasp of the Word, rightly divided, in order to bless and edify others!
Make sure you get all 3 of David's books (and any others he writes in the future), sit down with an open heart and an open bible, and FEAST!
Thank you, Pastor Ron Knight.
Up and Away - Our Blessed Hope Oct 19, 2007
Wow, David's third book in the trilogy (Appointed, The Assyrian and now Up and Away)should be part of the saint's personal libraries. All three books will provide volumes of material for Bible studies concerning end time doctrine. Anyone who has browsed Christian bookstores over the past 30 years realize that if you purchased only half of the books on escatology you could fill a room (from both the dispensational and preterist camps). Gary DeMar of American Vision claims he probably has the largest collection of escatological books than any Christian. That being said, his library is surely incomplete if he doesn't include these three books with UP AND AWAY - THE MYSTERY, THE LORD'S DAY AND THE PREDESTINATION OF THE ONE NEW MAN, the crowning jewel of the trilogy. I can promise anyone who takes the time to read these books that their knowledge and wisdom concerning the most neglected doctrine in the Bible, the REVELATION OF THE MYSTERY, will be increased 100 fold and more.
"Our blessed hope" takes center stage in this third book. There is much dispute amongst dispensational thinking as to the timing of the RAPTURE and as one follows the doctrine as presented in David's previous two books and concludes with UP AND AWAY, you will have no doubt as to the timing. David shows that when men make attempts to separate the Rapture from the "mystery of Christ" and Paul's teaching you will find yourself in a doctrinal mess (as we see today). I also believe that if one studies these books with an open Bible before them, they will conclude that there is no possible way for the church to be considered "spiritual Israel."
David's concluding remarks under the title of "So What Now, Gentiles," goes on for some 40 pages and is really the concluding remarks for the trilogy. I have had some dry spells in my Christian walk as of late and have slipped back into the lusts of the world (retired and traveling) and David's concluding remarks (incorporated into a mix of many Bible verses) provided a spiritual boost encouraging me to get busy again being the person Christ wants me to be as His adopted and completed son. David allows the Bible to teach and we know that the "word is QUICK, and POWERFUL, and SHARPER than any two-edged sword, PIERCING even to the dividing asunder of SOUL and SPIRIT, and of the JOINTS and MARROW, and is a DISCERNER of the THOUGHTS and INTENTS of the heart....(Hebrews 4:12). All three of David's books accomplish this as he allows God to do His work through His WORD. Thank you David for your faithful and unselfish service and your inspirational books.
Always looking UP and hoping for that AWAY moment. Tony Bonagura
