Reviews - What do customers think about The Ecclesiastical Organisation of the Church of the East 1318-1913 (Corpus Scriptorum Christianorum Orientalium)?
Seeing less darkly Mar 27, 2004
This book is an exemplary piece of careful scholarship. It collects and judiciously assesses a vast and hitherto widely dispersed array of material. From it, a much clearer picture of the extent and history of the Church of the East can be established. A valuable contribution to understanding of the history and culture of places and people little remarked on before in the West and now seen chiefly through the distorting lens of the 'war on terror'.
