Item description for Omniscient by David Schmittou...

Overview
IN TODAYS SOCIETY, we are being watched, whether its the camera on the stoplight that takes our picture as we run the red light or the nosy neighbor next door who likes to relate the details of our comings and goings to whomever will listen. BUT WHAT WOULD YOU DO if you discovered your every move had been recorded-every moment of joy, every moment of sin-and was currently on display in your basement? This is the dilemma faced by James Carlise, a typical thirtysomething Christian whose seemingly perfect life is thrown into a whirlwind of confusion when he is forced to come face to face with every detail of his past and present in living color. IN HIS DEBUT NOVEL, DAVID SCHMITTOU tackles one of the most pressing issues facing Christians today-accountability. We often forget that even if no one is watching, and even if our sin is only in our own minds, God knows our hearts. The great news, though, is that we are not our pasts, and with God watching over us, we are loved and protected throughout all the days of our lives on Earth.

More About David Schmittou

Register your artisan biography and upload your photo! Dave Schmittou is a teacher in a large suburban school district outside of Detroit, Michigan. Along with his wife, Rachel, he spends the majority of his free time playing with and raising his son, Cameron. Omniscient is the first novel Dave has written, but not necessarily the first book concept he has had. At the publication of this book, he is hard at work on a couple of nonfiction titles that he hopes will challenge his readers and bring them to a closer elationship with their Father in the future. As is mentioned in the afterword of this book, the main character, James Carlise, although not an autobiographical character, was inspired by Daves own life. He too was raised in a military household. He believes integrity should be the focal point of every mans life and he tries to lead a life as to set an example to all that see himeven to those he is not aware are watching him. It is his goal to lead a life worthy of imitation. To be Christian means to be Christlike. He believes that if he lives a life of a true Christian and others then imitate his character, he has indirectly led people to a life closer to the Lord. It is this desire that has allowed him to freely share his faith with his spoken words, and now, on the written page.
