Item description for God And Evolution: A Faith-Based Understanding by David Wilcox...
Overview A biology professor at a Christian university, Wilcox maintains that there can be no conflict between Scripture and the natural world because God is the author of both.
Publishers Description A biology professor at a Christian university, Wilcox is committed to a strong biblical faith and to faithful, responsible science. He maintains that there can be no conflict between Scripture and the natural world because God is the author of both. The contentious debate over evolution is a result of a failure to recognize and respect the boundaries of science and also the boundaries of theology. The author address such topics as the age of the earth and the origins of life, including human life, exploring from a scientist's perspective what we know and how we know it. His objective is to help readers reach a point in their faith where they don't have to choose between God and science, but where they can embrace science as a part of the divine plan.

Reviews - What do customers think about God And Evolution: A Faith-Based Understanding?
A calm, collected and fantastic view of evolution and creation Mar 28, 2008
I have been blessed to have Dr. Wilcox as a professor and can say that he is as intelligent in person as he is in his writing. He is a man I admire both as a Christian role model as well as a scholar. This book has aided me in my own struggle to marry my belief in evolution AND my belief in God. It has strengthened my faith and encouraged me as a scientist. It is clearly written and invaluable as resource for anyone wanting to understand these issues.
A Great Book for Christians Jun 8, 2007
David Wilcox has provided a great service to the Christian community by producing this book. He gently takes his readers through a variety of issues related to evolution. He makes a valuable distinction between methodological evolution and metaphysical evolution. I would recommend this book to Christians who wants to better understand their faith in light of current scientific thought. Dr. Wilcox, please continue to write!!!
A Realistic Book On The Creation v Evolution Debate Aug 1, 2006
This is the most intelligent book I have ever read on evolution vs creation. The author thinks that creation and evolution are not mutually exclusive theories. This is neither an apologetic for creationism nor a defense of theistic evolution but an in between position that lines up with the Catholic view of evolution. Wilcox examines the evidence in an unbiased and balanced way. He writes in clear, accessible language without scientific jargon.
