Reviews - What do customers think about Music Game Book: A World History of 20th Century Music?
Not Quite the Ultimate Voice Mar 5, 2008
Generally a good, comprehensive read in a compact, highly designed single volume. True experts in modern music beware though, there are enough info glitches, general naivete, and out and out factoid bloopers to make the whole piece come under suspicion, e.g. misspelling the term yin(g) and yang, mis-dated photo captions, mistaking who's son was involved in the Peter Grant-Bill Graham dust-up, claiming Jim Morrison wasn't especially mourned before Apocalypse Now, and possibly the most blasphemous boo-boo: claiming Jimi Hendrix played a Fender Telecaster.
Still, a decent coffee table reference for the casual fan.
