Reviews - What do customers think about Names to Live By: Over 1,000 Meaningful Christian Names for Your Baby?
Not that great Jul 26, 2007
I ordered this book and quickly returned it. There were a few things I really didn't like about it. The first noticable thing is the names are not separated by girls and boys. It is one list from A to Z. Some people may find this helpful, but I did not. For each name, a meaning, significance and key verse are listed. The meaning is pretty succinct, for example, "Fisher: one who fishes". The significance is its Christian origins. This is probably the most helpful part of the listing. The key verses try to relate a Biblical verse with the names meaning, but I think sometimes falls short. Half the time the verse relates, other times it just seems like a verse that would be fitting for any name. A good point about the book is it is small and could easily fit in your purse.
