You will find yourself hanging on to this book so tight in suspense along with having now a very vivid idea of the feel, looks and smell that must be in Hell. The diversity of the characters keep the plot turning, as well as you become incredibly curious to learn more about each one. When is the sequel due to come out? David Burton has a winner with this one!
Want adventure with suspense.... Apr 19, 2004
Hell Cop is definitely a page turner. I dont think there was a time when I was "ready to put it down". This story is definitely an adventure novel that was extremely suspenseful with the sarcastic humor of Getter (main character) thrown in there to lighten the book up, along with making me feel as if I knew him. The concept of Hell in the book seemed more real then the general: being burned in flames for eternity etc etc.. This is a MUST read for all, you will never think of Hell the same again and will hope if you ever need a Hell Cop your family will know how to locate one !
Watch out for nightmares! Apr 6, 2004
I truly enjoyed reading this book. The imagery is so vivid that one is truly propelled into the gruesome, horrific world of hell and its strange creatures. The characters (at least the "good" ones)elicit your sympathy and if you like action -- you got it! Sometimes there seems to be almost too much action (if that is possible!) and the reader has a hard time to catch her breath. The subtle sense of humor is delightful. Just don't read the book before you go to sleep -- it will definitely give you nightmares. Can't wait for the sequel.
