Item description for Teens of the Bible (Pulse 6) (No. 6) by Dave Zovak & Kara Eckmann Powell...
Overview Do your students have a hard time relating to the Bible? They won't once they realize how many characters in the Bible are actually teenagers! These stories of Old and New Testament teens, such as Samuel, Josiah, Daniel, and Mary, prove that age has little to do with the impact one life can have on others. Your junior highers will discover that the only prerequisite to being used by God is an open and available heart.
Publishers Description This study shows how God can uses teens-even today-as instruments of His miraculous works. First, using the stories of Samuel, Josiah and Daniel, students will learn how they can recognize God's voice, remove idols in their lives and take a stand for the Lord. Then they will discover how a teenage girl named Mary obeyed God in very difficult circumstances and became the mother of our Savior; how the young Jesus was a model student and how, through a young boy's willingness to share what little he had, Jesus fed thousands. The youth worker article by Duffy Robbins encourages leaders to use the stories about young lives in the Bible to give teens the opportunity to see real-life people facing real-life issues under the loving hands of a real-life God.

GREAT FOR SUNDAY SCHOOL Sep 2, 2008
I simply love this book. My husband and I where asked to tackle the teen class at vacation bible school this year. Neither of us had any experience in teaching. The program our church used this year did not provide material for vacation bible school for teenagers so we decided to use this book instead. It is very well written. Easy to understand and follow. Lots of teenage-apropriate activities to use along with the daily lesson. We continued to use this book in our sunday school class, after vacation bible school. We've had very encouraging comments from the kids and their parents. Some of the kids where not coming to regular sunday school, but after using this lesson they said they'd come back because it was so much fun. I can't wait to try out the other books in this series.
